Hello
I love to sort, tidy, organise and declutter!

I am a big fan of hygge (being cosy) and love all things Scandinavian.
In my own home I have regular clear-outs, so that I only have around me the things that I need or find beautiful.

Studies show that our mental health and motivation improves if our living space is clean and tidy. In the past I have studied and worked in interior design, but this isn’t about making your house look like a glossy magazine interior – it’s about helping you to feel happy and comfortable in your own home, with your own style.
Need help sorting, tidying, organising or decluttering?
Sometimes things can get on top of us, we get busy or overwhelmed and then we don't know where to start. Piles mount up, floors and worktops get covered, drawers and cupboards overflow and wardrobes burst.

There are many reasons for our homes getting a bit out of control: lack of time, overwhelm, procrastination, emotional attachment, illness, mental health, ADHD... Whatever your reason, I'm sure we can take some positive steps forwards.

We can do as much or as little as you want. I can get you started with a particular cupboard you have been avoiding, or we can work through whole rooms - deciding what to keep, donate, sell and dispose of.
It can be overwhelming having someone in your home, so we will work together at your pace and you might want to spread appointments out over weeks or months. That’s fine.

Three ways I can help...

Leave me to it!
This approach is useful if an area needs sorting into categories first, before we decide together what to do with the different piles!
We are not all wired the same and some people just don't find tidying or organising comes naturally to them. I have learnt a lot about neurodiversity in recent years and, for many people, sorting and tidying your home can feel like a huge challenge.

Work alongside me
Also known as 'body-doubling', some people find that it is easier to start sorting and tidying if someone else is doing it alongside them.
This can be a very productive way of staying focused on what had previously seemed to be a very boring task!

Work with me
Make a tea or coffee and we can chat as we work through a cupboard or room together, deciding what you want to keep.
We can be emotionally attached to our possessions and people can find it therapeutic to talk while we work.
I have spent a number of years training as a mentor and counsellor and understand that talking can be an important part of the process.
Additional services
Children's rooms
Children's rooms can be a never-ending task of deciding what they have grown out of, what mementoes to keep and what to pass on. I am DBS checked and am happy to work with you or your children to help them sort through their things too. It’s great for them to understand the process and important that they have a say over which of their possessions they keep.

Waste disposal
I am a registered waste carrier, but in the first instance I will always try to help you to sell, donate, repurpose or recycle any unwanted items. At the end of the session, if you wish, I can take away rubbish and recycling and deliver unwanted items to a charity shop of your choice. If there are any larger items of unwanted furniture, I can help you to arrange collection.

Storage solutions
When there is more space, I can help you to rearrange the layout of rooms, and/or suggest, purchase and build new storage solutions.

Aftercare
After my visit, you are more than welcome to keep me updated with how you are getting on! Clients often send me proud photos after they have rearranged or redecorated parts of their home. Some customers invite me back on a regular basis, just to stay on top of things.

The photos on this site are with the kind permission of a client. Your belongings are private and personal and there is no expectation that we will photograph or share your journey unless you wish to.
